Originally from the midwest, fall and winter in south Florida are pretty disappointing for me when I'm unable to enjoy the weather, fragrances, flavors, and activities I've come to associate with the changing season. Last year, I searched far and wide for the perfect fall scented candle to help cheer me up. I just about surrendered to defeat until I found DW's Pumpkin Allspice. The scent was so natural, familiar and comforting. The fragrance is more spicy than citrus or sugary, so all of you sensitive noses out there like mine don't have to worry about quickly developing a nasty headache from a too-strong/too-artificial scent. It's not too overwhelming or powerful, but it's absolutely present, just like when your mom used to bake your favorite treat when you were a child, and a delightful fragrance spilled out of the oven to fill the whole house! Scientists say that we associate smells with certain memories, and this candle proves them right! I would light it at night after a long day, bundle up in blankets on my sofa, and enjoy the flood of fond memories of changing leaves, cool evenings, fall festivals, and plenty of moments with my family around the dinner table. Is there anything better?
As August started to wind down, I enthusiastically began looking for another Pumpkin Allspice to get me through the upcoming season. But what do I find? The beloved link to my favorite season is sold out and unavailable everywhere. Please bring back this candle!!!
