I bought this as an afterthought while trying to meet the minimum threshold for the Black Friday discount and didn't expect much beyond a pleasant pine scent, but I was so very wrong. This candle immediately shot to my top four favorite scents from DW upon first lighting. It's not just your standard Christmas tree scent, its complex and layered with what I can only describe as the smell of Christmas morning at my rich aunt's house in 1996. I'm reminded of the smokey scent of her fireplace burning, a subtle effervescent whisp of sweet fruit that's hard to place, and a mellow but enrapturing fresh balsam pine base note that's not at all overwhelming, but exactly powerful enough to get the point across that Saint Nick is probably coming to town soon. A candle can't make your holidays special, that's entirely up to you, but this one will help nonetheless.
I'll be waiting for this one to come back in stock, personally.
