I will try to be as objective as possible. This was my very first DW candle, so I didn't know what to expect. The container smelled wonderful, before I lit this candle, It smelled exactly like the Lemon Meringue pie. Then, once I lit it, at first there was hardly any smell at all, for the first 3 to even 4 hrs. I started to get upset, but continued to burn it. Then, after about 3 hrs, the smell of Lemon Meringue pie started to get stronger, until I could smell it from every adjacent room of the house, all the rooms that didn't have doors, including the family room, dining room, kitchen and hallway. I could not smell from the same floor's bedroom or the bathroom, and I could not smell it on any other floor of the house, including basement. To give it an extra credit, my living room, where the candle was burning, has a very high, 23 ft ceiling, and I still could smell the candle very well in that room. So I gave it 5 stars because it did what I needed it to do. Of course, it would be nice if the smell traveled to every room of the house, but I don't know if this would be realistic or even possible. This is my first home with multiple floors, prior to this I have always lived in ranch homes, and condos with maximum 9 ft ceilings, where the smell could easily travel from room to room, so I have nothing to compare it with.
