While the scent was lavender-ish, I can't say i really caught a real sense of "French" Lavender in this one. It was a bit more chemical. Granted, I did purchase it at a discount retailer, so it might not have been in the freshest condition. The container is a lovely color glass and with the lid looks perfectly appropriate on a vanity tray or nice side table. I did have a problem with the wax tunneling a bit at first, but it was easily solved by letting the candle burn for 45 minutes or so, much longer than i usually do for my shower/bedtime prep ritual. One star taken off only for scent quality.
